Do the cal. 861 & 1861 movements cost roughly the same to service?

They are really the same movement...nothing makes one more or less expensive to service...

I concur - if you like tritium stick to your guns and wait for a good one. I find its sometimes easy to get pulled into a nice watch that pops up for sale and start talking oneself into that watch rather than waiting for the one you want. But don't snooze either when one pops up!
