Click spring replacement

Hello friends,

I’m brand new to the forum, and in need of some help. I have a seamaster 300m reference 212.30.41.20.01.003 and the click spring appears to have failed. It takes no effort to click the bezel. I called the only AD in Colorado, and they were very… used car salesman about it: it’ll take 4-6 months, and we may need to send it to Switzerland. It could need this. It will need that. Etc.

I just want to replace my click spring. Does anyone either know of a watch maker in the Fort Collins co area that can assist, or do you know of the actual part number for my reference and how to get it? I’m handy and could replace it myself, if I just could find the right one.

assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you can find an Omega Certified independent watchmaker, then they should be able to look up & order the replacement spring for you. No need to send it to an Omega Service Center.

Any idea on how to find that? Googling did not yield a lot of results. I suppose I could just start calling every watch maker in the northern Colorado area.

I don't think there is a convenient means of looking this up, although it would be very handy if such a resource were available.

You might try reaching out to NAWCC Chapter 21 in Colorado, someone in that community is likely to know & may be able to put you in touch.

How dare you want to buy a simple restricted part from the Swiss Mafia without jumping through 12 hoops of certification, inspection of your workshop, inspection of the condition of your car's engine oil, inspection of the audio system in your home, etc....

"Bad bezel click spring? Needs to be sent to Switzerland for a complete overhaul"......."Scratch on the crystal? Needs a complete service / overhaul".....
(sarcasm off)
