    Hi,
I've only just got this watch and I'm aiming to get a new crystal on it when it gets serviced... What's bugging me though is that the dial looks like it was varnished, and that the varnish is now starting to come off? Is this a common thing? do I just ignore it or can it be cleaned up? Sorry about the bad picture, it's the best I can do at the moment. Cheers :)

Who would want to do that. My suggestion is wait until you're sober to decide on anything.[emoji6]

Would you be able to submit a closer-up picture of the dial? I don't see what you're referring to.

I'm struggling to get a better picture using my phone, I'll try and dig out a camera tomorrow. it's really subtle though, I could only really see it through a loupe.

General rule of thumb is to leave the dial alone. From that picture, it actually looks like it may be in good shape once you replace the crystal.
