For sale is a very clean and original stainless steel 2846 reference with a 500 caliber movement dating to early 1957. The dial features a crosshair and a unique marker combination (6/12 numerals, 3/9 squares, sticks with radium lume plots in them). The movement runs, winds, and sets well, but the service history is unknown so a service is recommended prior to regular use. Additional details are below, and feel free to reach out with any questions. Dial: Original silver dial has a light, even patina and features a crosshair and a unique marker combination (numerals at 6/12, squares at 3/9, and sticks with radium lume plots in them). Radium is fully intact on both the dial and the hands and has maintained a fairly consistent color. "Swiss" is present below the 6 marker as expected. Original hands have some oxidation. Case: Original 34.5mm 2846-6 case is very sharp and appears unpolished, with sharp bevels on the lugs and clear "Seamaster" and "Waterproof" engraving on the case back. There is a ding on the lower-left lug and some light wear on the case back, otherwise it is in very nice condition. Crown: Original signed clover crown. Crystal: Original signed crystal (Omega etched in center). Movement: 500 caliber movement is clean. Watch runs, winds, and sets well. Service history is unknown so a service is recommended prior to use. Serial number dates the watch to early 1957. Strap: Generic black alligator-grain leather strap with a stainless steel buckle. Price is $625 (reduced from $750). I'll cover insured US shipping, international shipping to be discussed with buyer. OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if watch is grossly misrepresented. Watch is located in Seattle, WA, USA.
Bump Edit: I’m open to trades as well! Seeking nice no-lume 50s Seamasters/Constellations and early 60s Constellations.
These are getting harder and harder to find with nice crisp cases like this one and an uncommon dial too!
