So this watch case was holding the vintage Tudor i've received:

Haven't come across this jeweller before, it does look pretty antique and seems to come with the watch having been there for decades probably.

Is it worth a clean up or nah?

    Have you tried yet?

"The year 1929 saw the inception of a new regime and the Brook family acquired the shares in Pearce & Sons, gradual expansion over the years culminated in the acquisition of the old established jewellers W. Mansell of Lincoln in 1947 and W. Bowley of Melton Mowbray in 1969."

I think I see a “ghost” image of your Tudor remaining on the velvet. Sort of like the Shroud of Turin. You have two choices. Keep it until it’s future becomes clear, or turf it in which case there’s no going back.
