Can someone please explain to me the wearing of multiple bracelets of varying types next to one's watch? Because I just don't get it.

 

Fashion. Style. Aesthetics. Sometimes a cause, sometimes a statement or mission. Mostly...style or personal expression. Or not. What do I know? I think he alludes to the fact they may be tokens of the trip. Again what do I know?

It a disease of well to do European men esp British. It’s very well advanced in him. It seems to have progressed with his belt line.

I think the number of bracelets is just an expression of his gay side and the fast cars and macho talk is just a cover up.

Can't stand Clarkson, I think he's a prat. And I certainly wish he didn't wear Omega.

 

I am not 100 % sure if this is correct but I believe the bracelet thing started as a way to camouflage the watches when they were presenting on tv. Something about not advertising brands.

 

May and Hammond are not wearing any bracelets.

 

When Top Gear was on the BBC Clarkson often appeared wearing a Seamaster, wrist near the camera during the test-drive shoots. I think he was given the watch as a freebie when they were filming Casino Royale at the aerodrome used by the Top Gear crew but I could be wrong. To be honest Omegas can often be seen on the BBC on cookery shows, Antiques Roadshow (even though they aren't technically antiques) and so on, so I wonder if there isn't some little deal in place.

 

Clarkson has been an omega man for years and years and indeed some of his columns talk about them. I don’t think there is a deal in place as Leblanc can always be seen flashing his hulk and the hairy bikers have combos of hulks, Breitling et al.

Might be wrong, but I suspect there is no deal between them....

 

Well I guess Casino Royale did come out 'years and years' ago... depressing thought! As for le Blanc and Hairy Bikers, I wouldn't know... I gave up on Top Gear long ago and have never watched other two.

Clarkson is god.....his reply to the recent accusations of homophobia were spot on.....I like the other two but he truly makes the show worth watching.
