This is my first thread so excuse if it's not in the correct place. I picked up a CK 700 AD from last year of production 1939. I understand the standard movement is a 35.5. However, mine has a 30t2. Based on the serial number on the movement, the year is 1939 which would match the watch. Could a 1939 CK 700 AD have been issued with a 30t2 or is this definitely a replacement movement?
Also, I'm aware the dial's been refinished. I'm more concerned with the movement.

    Thanks
    Pete

Not a definitive answer with respect to this reference, but the earliest version of the 30T2 was in 1939, and the movement serial makes it a very early example.

Thanks for your response. Is the fact that the version is a very early example make it more sought after?

My mistake. That's not my caseback. It was from a google search. I don't have a good one of mine. Here's what I can come up with now. Ck700AD caseback.jpg

Does it have 2 case backs?

There should be an inner pressure shut back and the outer back must be screwed on... can you confirm?

I cannot see any Omega markings in the case back - very suspicious... red flag

    Concerning the movement:

    I don´t think it is a 30 T2 but rather a plain Cal. 30 or a 30 T1

Look below the balance for the caliber

The only way to find out if the movement was legit is to order an extract from the archives - it will end all speculations.

My gut feeling says: not legit
