    SNV13125.JPG Hi guys!
This little bugger travelled 315 kilometres in my pocket ending up to my kitchen table. It was originally imported from Sweden in early 70´s and spent 40+ years in drawer almost forgotten. Which bezel? That´s the question. Personally I would stick with steel one but I have only studied these for couple of weeks. Your expert opinion will be listened carefully. Thanks in advance:thumbsup: . SNV13118.JPG SNV13119.JPG SNV13120.JPG SNV13121.JPG

Well done, it looks fantastic. Maybe you can share the details of the hunt and capture of that beauty. A watch like that can certainly tell a story or two:thumbsup:

Regarding bezel - I think both are correct with the earlier -3s coming with the steel bezel and the arrowhead hands and the later -3s with the black base 1000 bezel and dauphine hands.

SNV13135.JPG SNV13139.JPG SNV13130.JPG Two weeks ago this watch popped out in local auction webpages and friend of mine gave me a call. He did not recognize the model accurately and was surprised of its true status. During the auction he helped me to wrap things favourally. Only yesterday I was able to pick this up as sellers and mine timetables did not match due to holiday season. I had to get rid of my Speedy 105.012-66 and Connie 14902 gold capped to fund this new purchase. CK 2915 is available perhaps once in a lifetime and I did not have any other option than buying.

Nice find. My guess is that it could be a 2915-1 with a later caseback. Why? Because the dial is the very first one with the very wide S of Speedmaster, the sharp first ring of the m. Furthermore, the serial seems to be 15.499... Can you confirm serial?

Oops I have seen serial: this is really one of the earliest number used for the Speedmaster, thus, although we might never be 100% sure, this number corresponds to a 2915-1.

Of course it could also be 16 and not 15 in which it case it would be just right for a 2915-3

The serial you mentioned is correct. Or this is one more example which did not follow theories by the book? The condition of the case back is similar to other parts of watch head. Movt has only minor damage to screw heads and there is only one service marking visible in case back. Today I was able to locate decent pusher which is missing. I am still floating;) .

Lemania built calibres 321 in blocks. 15.499.001 is the beginning of a block. There is no block with 16.499. Yours was delivered in autumn 1957, thus more likely a 2915-1. Thus even with a later caseback, you have an historical piece

First 15 years will always stay as mystery with this piece, but I can bring the movt back alive again and see it ticking and working properly. Two years ago I bought my first vintage Omega for small collection. Destiny has been very kind to me. I thank all participants for sharing their information and positive comments. I wish you all good hunting!!

That would also explain the hands on the watch.

Hmm, my guess is that hands change did not happen right with reference change, but may be a bit later.
