This is a very rare vintage Citizen.
It was released in December 1968 and the production ran for just 1 month.

It comes in a 38mm case. 18mm lugs.
Was sold with the bracelet. I also have the bracelet, but I prefer leather.
Sunburst stepped dial is a beauty!

Quoting some information I found from the dedicated website:
The movement is the second iteration of Citizen's only hand winding chronograph movement, Citizen calibre 5701. It has 21 jewels and beats at a slow 18,000bph. Elapsed time can be measured for one minute. The user can start/stop and reset the chronograph as well as flyback (reset while running). The crown is pulled one stage to adjust the time. The date is not quick-set but is changed by advancing the hour hand past 12.

Try to find one!

Black models are more common and there are some for sale on Chrono24 and eBay.

oh that is lovely and completely underrated! Love the simplicity of the dial.

Great looking chronograph, I prefer that so much compared to the more common vintage Record Masters.

Great looking chronograph, I prefer that so much compared to the more common vintage Record Masters.

Do you mean compared to dark models?

I also like this one more because:
* it has a stepped dial;
* sunburst effect;
* leaf hands;
* 38mm size.

Looks amazing on that strap!
I have one too and agree with you completely! Really wonderful watch…
I did not know about the only one month production span - thanks for sharing
