Part 3 of 4 will be the Seamaster family and should come out on Thursday.

The final part will be weird stuff, and will be next Tuesday.

That’s a very cool set, the lemania racing on the left looks like a metallic brown dial, that’s an option I haven’t seen ever before, do you think you could post some more front on photos of that watch?

    Hi Ashley

Since I suspect there are few people who know more about the Chronostop than you, I will address this technical question to you. I very recently acquired a 145.009 with the standard dial orientation. It runs quite well on the timegrapher, but I still intend to have it serviced before wearing it regularly. I was re-reading your review of the model and I realized that my pusher only executes two functions, not three. The first push starts the chrono hand, and the second push resets it....foregoing the "stop" function. Is this a common problem, and would you know which components are responsible for the failure? I ask, because I would like to source the part(s) before I send it to my watchmaker. I appreciate you taking the time to entertain this request, thank you.

Sorry mate I’ve written it slightly incorrectly there and will need to correct it, from memory you press to start, then when you want to stop it you press and hold the pusher which lets you read the time off, then when you release it, it should fly back to the start waiting for the next run. So the “Hold” of the pusher is how you stop, and it should reset on release rather than it being a distinct press.

    Hi Ashley

Thank you for the update! It works exactly as you just described, and a huge relief for me. You are the most significant figure in the Omega enthusiast world as far as I am concerned. I read all your articles, and always learn more than I anticipated. Take care.

Na mate I’m just someone who spends a lot of time learning, reading, trying out unusual watches and writing about them periodically, there are some really important figures in that space including several of our moderators like Bill & Mike and some incredible writers like Erich and the MWO authors, I’m just doing my thing on the edges.

I am sure you know the inner space of that world far better than I, so Bill, Mike, Erich, and the MWO authors will be subjects of my research agenda. I must say, you are very humble for someone who seems to be the face of OmegaForums. Good on you
