Hello! I am new to the forum. Just want to share my vintage omega chronostop 145.009. I am also new to vintage and I always find myself gravitate towards vintage omegas. Sorry I don't take really good photos. What I'm not sure is that if the crystal of the watch during this era should have the etched logo. If so, mine is probably fitted with a replacement crystal.
Yes it should have the logo, the logo plexi crystals have been std fit since the early 1950s. A replacement genuine crystal isn't silly money.
Looks great and now that you started to post here it won't take long until the next vintage watch joins the Chronostop. You think I'm crazy? Let's see what's going to happen ;-)
Haha, thats true, my first vintage omega was also chronostop, after that mark 4.5, and now 145.012-67... all within 1.5 year. [emoji3]
Hahahah! I fully agree with you! Already on the hunt for the next one. Was thinking of a Art Deco jump hour. But worried about wearing the watch in tropical weather where rain comes often
You see, the vintage bug bite you. But it could be worse... I'm looking forward to see the next one, whatever it might be.
I am in the process of selling my Speedmaster FOIS to raise funds. Don't get me wrong, the speedmaster FOIS is a GREAT watch and I would probably be missing it a lot. But it is just a shift in focus in my collection and I can't own everything. Some have to go to make way for new ones.
