    Hey Everyone-

I have a 145.007 that I love. But I've always been attracted to the "yachting" and "roulette" bezel versions of the Chronostop. Two questions:

    1. Is the 145.007 the same as these other watches just with the Tachymeter bezel?
    and
    2. Could I conceivably swap my bezel for either the yachting or roulette/soccer bezel?

    Thanks, experts!
    Vincent

P.S. I don't want to bastardize my watch if they're truly different beasts. Tell me if I'm crazy :p

    Hello,

I'm not an expert on these, but I thought the rotating bezels were for the 145.008 with the extra crown at 10:00. Does the bezel on your 145.007 rotate?

    Thanks,
    Todd

    Hey Todd-

Nearly positive it does not rotate. But I don't know that all or any of the example bezels desired rotate either..

I have the 145.008 with rotating bezel, the first one in your list of three. I do believe they are the same dimensions, but obviously without the crown at 10 they won t rotate. On the back of the bezel are little grooves that aid rotating I suppose. This might be a hindrance in using it for the 145.007. I think the roulette version is the most desirable amongst collectors as it adds a bit of 'pop' to the watch. It also means that they are quite expensive compared to the yachting one for example. I have an original leather strap on mine too which needs some tlc. I am not sure if it is possible to find these.

    Hey Vincent,

I'm not sure if they fit the 145.007 - but suspect they don't, as the 145.008 has stepping gear to allow the outer bezel to rotate.

There were some other options for 145.007 bezels however... just not sure if any are still available - check them out on page 12/13 http://www.chronomaddox.com/omega/catalogs/chronostop/chronostop.html

I believe the white roulette bezel was used on the 145.019 which is known as the soccer timer . I have seen them on the chronostop but again I am not sure if it was the 145.007 or 145.008. I am not sure off the top of my head if the soccer timer has a rotating bezel either, but I don't think it does. I guess looking on the internet would answer those questions but my connection is poor right now.

The three bezels you posted above, are all for the rotating bezel variant.
