Chronoscope Comfort Clasp on Speedy (Pics & Measurements)

Well as I just got a Chronoscope yesterday (Lovely watch by the way) and swapped the clasps to my speedy just to see how it goes before ordering one. Took as many measurements as possible for reference for the forum. Whats interesting is the clasp cover on the Chronoscope is longer, however both clasps in the small position are only 1mm apart in length.

Before doing this I read a post on another forum of someone who has already done this were it was suggested to swap out the folding arm from the Speedy clasp to the Chronoscope clasp to avoid getting the Chronoscope endlinks. Well unfortunately I found out that the Chronoscope comfort clasp adjustment button sticks out and the Chronoscope fork part of the folding arm was intentionally widened to create space to fit around the adjustment button, furthermore the other part of the arm has an indentation to accommodate the button, to get a proper fit I suggest not swapping the folding arm on the Speedy clasp to the Chronoscope clasp.

Hope this helps 馃榾

Which endlinks do you need? The ones from the Chronoscope bracelet where it connects to the clasp?

yes, and apparently only one is required. Just the one the fits on the wider part of the Chronoscope folding clasp.

Haven鈥檛 ordered mine yet, but I believe these are the part numbers from the other thread,
Chronoscope clasp - 117STZ013899
Chronoscope end link - 118STZ013110

Thanks for the info!

I remember reading something about Omega releasing an official Speedmaster Professional version of the clasp at some point. Has anyone heard any updates or rumors on that? There doesn't appear to be any reason that the Chronoscope clasp is problematic, so it's not immediately clear to me why another version would be necessary. Just curious.

At least in Spain, Omega refused to sell them.

I'm in the same situation that you (also in Spain)

The People from the OB (which was really kind and helpful, I must say) were able to get the clasp but not the Chronoscope end link [Part 118STZ013110] from Omega extranet.

I've used the original deployant arm which leaves a small gap when the clasp is closed (but by now, it does the trick, closing securely)

I keep reading from people who is able to get both pieces, so I'm wondering if this unavailability is limited to Spain.
Since I want to get the chronoscope end link (in order to obtain a perfect assembly), I'm considering alternative ways to get that piece. Maybe if it is available in France/UK, I may ask some friend in those countries to get the part for me.

Here a picture showing the small gap due to the push button:

I emailed my sales rep at the OB and he indicated they can't order the end link right now! He said that may change in the future. It sounds like you can order the clasp but not the link.

Yes, as we've been told in Spain.
