    I have a question.
If I have a Landeron 248 chrono & the the case is the square pushers type w/ square pushers , can I swap the mvmnt out to a round pusher case w/ round pushers as long as the mvmnt fits the case ?

I'm not a watchmaker but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in my life and I say yes.

My reasoning is the movement isn't designed for the case. The case is designed for the movement.

But I could be wrong. My wife tells me so all the time...

I thought so but as you said I'm not a watchmaker. I guess my reasoning was the movement will accept square or round pushers. Just a matter of what was installed.
    Thank you.

It depends - in some cases how the parts that the pushers actually activate in the movement differ based on the case. The old Landerons (like you find in the Chronograph Suisse watches) tend to just have the pusher connect more directly to the operating levers, so in this instance it might not be an issue. Only way to know for sure is to get the replacement case and see how things fit.

Thank you Archer. I'm looking @ a Landeron 248 mvmnt that I want to replace in an identical Clebar, accept the Clebar I want to buy has square pushers & the 1 I want it in has round pushers & a round pushers case.

IMHE thebcases are not necessarily exchangeable. The pusher connection differs. I have unfortunately experienced that the stop/ reset pusher does not work in the new case.

Last year I had a similar discussion with my watchmaker and his comment was that there are many measurements that must be just so to ensure a 1:1 fit.
