Chrono24 vs eBay watch purchase

Great insight. So depending on your knowledge and preferences, eBay seems to have it over C24. However, most folks recommend hanging out on OF, learning and then buying from an individual or dealer selling here.
Sharp, your recent purchase is the style (basic/classy, no date) that I’m interested in, and eBay appears to have more of these style Omegas.

You can always post a watch you find on ebay here and ask for input from the folks here. Make sure to ask before you buy, it saves a lot of headaches. Some people fear that posting here before a purchase will draw attention to a watch and drive up the bidding, but I think that concern is overblown.

And start looking at a lot of watches. Right here on the forum, instead of eBay or c24. From the threads on OF, you'll learn how to identify good examples.

For example, a google search of 'omegaforums seamaster 600' yields:

I am in the same boat, I have dozens of lovely things on eBay over the years since around 2006, both pocket and wristwatches, but I have never once spotted a watch I deemed worth buying on Chrono24. I have not even come close to hitting the buy button. I wonder if we are bad at searching 😜. Maybe it just depends what you are looking for?

Most recent eBay purchase was a fairly humble 167.005 369 dial with papers a couple of weeks ago, the cleanest with this dial I have seen.

Really sharp 👍! (pun intended) 😁
