A watch that accompanied Captain Ron Evans, one of only 24 people to have flown to the Moon, aboard Apollo 17 — a unique opportunity for collectors to own a flown Speedmaster from the Apollo missions http://www.christies.com/features/F...1.aspx?sc_lang=en&cid=EM_EMLcontent0414424A_3
I don´t like the engravings on the case much, but I think I could ignore that just in this case.... Seems well documented, and I assume it will reach a gazillion dollars at the end... Not bad the 18K on sale either? Wonder how many @Barking mad have up to now?
@Barking mad will have no interest in this one. It's Apollo 17 and he's a straight up Apollo 11 kind of guy.
Im quite smitten by the Alaska 1045 prototype, there were so few of these STAR made prototypes and nothing says kick ass Speedmaster than a genuine honest to goodness Radial Dial/ Star made proto
what a cheapskate in hand engraving it himself. I wonder what your average astronaut pay is anyway? Myself I would have had 30 dollar store timexes strapped to my limbs...........oh the profit!
