Choosing end links

So I picked up a 14701 on eBay for a decent price. Needs a little remediation on the gold cap to improve its looks and this bracelet I sourced is by no means the best, though it looks better in person.

I looked up this watch on Omega's site, and imagine my surprise when I looked at the end links.

These look to be 11/511 end links smooshed down to fit the lugs. I had some extras, so I tried it:

What do you think? Stick with the 511 or get the now-recommended 512 links with a new bracelet, assuming I can improve the watch case? Does this even merit a new bracelet? The dial isn't perfect, though of course it looks better on the wrist. Tell ya the truth, I'm willing to call it done! But curious what the crowd thinks.

Thanks

I wouldn't have a problem if a '63 Pontiac came fitted with Pep Boys curb feelers.

😀

My 14701 on bracelet . . .

. . . waves hello.
