I can't afford this but damn it's beautiful. Such a strange and interesting case / dial / hand colour combo. This would be original, no? Would it have started life as a black dial?

The caseback will tell you the reference which you can google and find out what model it started its life as. It's strange/interesting case, color and hand combo would be from a redial. The first picture shows a black second hand. All other pictures show a gold tone second hand.

That's due to reflections from the polished hand :)

The white hands do look a bit odd in this case, I wonder if they are from a different watch.

I have around 3 of the cal 711 seamasters- I really like the thin profile! I think it was one of the thinnest omega made at that age..

...I think I recognize the characteristic carpet background of the seller :D he’s probably selling for a not cheap price no?

The Omega logo and the text look suspiciously bright considering the dial color...

I'm really keen on a cal 711. Do you mind me asking where you're finding them for that price? Is it just being persistent and on the ball on these forums and knowing what to accept and reject on eBay? Everything on Chrono24 is way more than 500 and auctions on eBay tend to go higher too from what I've witnessed in my ~2-3 months of looking.

Well, my mother's. I gifted all of them to her, she is quite the watch lover!
But I think they perform exceptionally even as a men's piece. Especially for someone with bony wrists like me.
I got one of them through here, two through 'bay. Yes be vigilant, and educate yourself with this great forum. Stick around!

2-500 (I'm guessing US$?) would be low for a gold Omega.

$1750 is slightly optimistic though :D

Yup! 200 to 500 usd. I did get a ~100 or 200 service for each too, but, I'd say it was worth it :)

    Agreed 1750 is.... yikes!

Thanks, I have accepted that I'll need to play the long game to get something I'm satisfied with.

Those watches of yours are so nice. I am in the bony wrist club too and think this style is the way to go for me.

    Thanks
