Hi Just back from its Hols having had a full Service at STS and looking....well....pretty damn cool: Best - Neil
Would be interesting to hear more about this watch Neil. Do you know what caused the dial and bezel to become such a nice colour
Is it the 145.022-69 that had...um..."issues" with a batch of dials? I read about it in Moonwatch Only. Very cool looking!
Not the biggest chocolate fan, but that looks beautifully understated...............am a big fan of faded bezels though.
Hi Thanks for the comments guys....I tried to capture the true depth of colour in the dial with these couple of pics: Best - Neil
Did you tell them deffo no case polishing or any outward modification? What was overall cost for this is you don't mind? No prob if you prefer not to say. does look rather excellent though!! Regards, Ian
Hi Ian The Case & caseback is just so good on this example there was no need to touch it....so I just confirmed in my instructions it was to be left as is. We also retained the original crystal , crown & pushers too. So I basically just ended up with the 861 being fully Serviced....so expect a bill for approx £350 GBP for a similar job (of course if you wanted & for that price they would replace the crystal , crown & pushers & refinish the case/caseback and Guarantee WR - subject to case condition). HTH's Best - Neil
Brill Job, Looks A1, best leave alone, like someone said though, if the usual service replacement parts, you pay the same to have your watch de-valued!! Ian
