    I think they use cheap quartz movement inside but I may be wrong.

    Maybe some of them do have nice automatic movements capable of +4/-6 10 minute periods per day. Who knows?

    Actually, a friend gave me one he bought in K.L. That was about six years ago. It keeps time to +2or 3 secs a day still. And yes, Its automatic.

    You would get into exactly $89.57c worth of trouble and eighty dollars of that would be in replacing the glass case

    I thought they were quartz too, until I picked one up and shook it to fire it up! I'm intrigued to see what's on the inside!

    It's China town..... they use cheap Chinese movements. I wouldn't want to see one, especially if I just ate. ::puke::

    some fakes are using ETA or Miyota movement, and they are even categorized into fake 1,2,3 (50 bucks) or even super fake cost (500-800 bucks)
