Hello OF members,

I wrote on @fratellowatches about Tourist Dead Seconds with Chezard Movement 2years ago.

A few weeks ago I managed to pick up another piece and decided to rescue it. All seems fine, just two parts related to dead seconds are missing. I am trying to find the watch parts diagram for Chezard 7400, but I was not successful. Please, would anybody be able to advise, where to find it?

Thank you for your help, Tomas

I've never seen one of these and don't have a parts list so it's not possible to be sure, but looking at what is available at Cousins:

The big brass wheel at the lower is the driving wheel over the fourth wheel (part number 283). I know Cousins show this as the driving wheel over the third wheel but I don't see one in your picture and not sure what purpose it would serve so it is probably mislabelled. Usually, these driving wheels are on the third wheel due to the direction that the wheels rotate but, you have that other small wheel so, this driving wheel is over the fourth - I hope that makes sense. It seems to come from a Chezard 115.

That other small wheel is hard for me to identify as I haven't seen one of these calibres so, I would give the link to your watchmaker. For me, this would be the part shown above as the driving wheel for the jumper wheel (part number 9411). At these prices, your watchmaker can look at the long list of parts available and see if something else may be the part in question.

Good luck, Chris

Thank you for elaborate view. While searching I found parts at Cousins, but thats why I wanted to check against the parts list. But at the end of the day, it's just 10-15 euro, so I will probably order anyway and check what comes in. Thank you for taking time to look at it. Tomas

And I found on ebay driving wheel over fourth wheel. This seems as what I need, right?

You certainly want a "driving wheel over 4th wheel" as that is the lower arrow in your picture. The eBay one appears to be in the original packaging and does state that on the packet so, it seems a fair bet as it has the correct calibre number. In the old standard Swiss part numbers, 284 would be a driving wheel over 4th wheel so, that looks fine.

It may be a mistake by Cousins but, could still be the correct part. They have a lot of stock and and there are errors in their website but it is generally pretty good. For your calibre, there isn't a driving wheel over the 3rd wheel so, their website is definitely at odds with reality.

Cheers, Chris
