    That is a truly gorgeous first vintage Omega! I'd be proud to own that example. My first was pretty bad so well done! Do you happen to know what movement is in your 2849? Is it a caliber 502 or 503? I happened across two last month. One has a redial and one is original, but with heavy patina. It is fun to compare the font side by side.

    I used to own the exact same watch; only parted with it because the case diameter was a little too small for my wrist. Congratulations on a fantastic purchase.

    @BrandonP thank you for letting me know that your watch houses a 503. @GMB a caliber 502 is also possible for this reference as I have one. I just wanted to know what was in the original poster's watch. Thanks all!
