Hi everyone

i have an SMP 300 ref. 2532.80.00 and am looking to having the bezel changed from the silver to a blue one i bought second hand (org. Omega, originally from a 2531.80.00). Do you guys know if the bezel insert can be changed, or does the whole bezel need to be replaced? He is an authorised Omega watchmaker and have the correct tools, but when i spoke to him over the phone he wasnt sure if it could be done, as the silver bezel inlay might be integrated/glued to the rest of the bezel. Cheers 馃榾

I had this problem before, my service repair guy could only get his hands on the silver bezel/ring combo and told me the blue bezel/ring was sold out anywhere. During my extensive search for a blue bezel i came to find out that no one will sell you an authentic one, everything was bootleg and cheap, the only way to get one is directly through service from omega, i ended up paying $275 for the bezel/ring combo, their excuse that it was sold together and not separate, something about the glue or whatever, but i didn鈥檛 care since it only took a week to get it done.

I have a titanium sea master that I have been looking at possibly getting a blue bezel on. Can you post pics when you get this project done? I鈥檓 very interested to see how it turns out.

Yeah, Omega have become a bit conservative in that sense. I have however been so lucky as finding a used, original blue bezel from a dealer on Chrono24. Do you know if its possible to change the silver one on mine to that one, without having to acquire a complete steel bezel, ring etc? Or is this operation somewhat impossible due to the inlay being glued to the steel bezel? Cheers, Jacob
