Change band and bezel SEAMASTER Reference: 2501.21.00

My Dad just gave me his ~1996 and I want to change the band to something less dressy for everyday wear. Also, I would like to swap the plain bezel for something more interesting. I realize changing the bezel may be looked down upon but it is reversible so I’d appreciate some ideas. I have a watchmaker local to me that can do the work. The band is too big so putting a leather strap will take care of that issue. Please give me some ideas and bezel choices and where to buy it. Thanks.

I don't think that there is a replacement bezel for this watch. As for a change of bracelet or strap you should really just go for whatever you like to wear. The bracelet in itself is a valuable thing so keep it safe. Good luck.

What about changing the face to blue? Is that period correct? Where would I source a blue face?

If you want a blue dialed model, that would be a 25018100 (wave dial), or a 25018200 (no waves). Those are the two standard models in this line with blue dials, and there were some others as well from Japan. Dials are available for the two models listed above, so you would have to find a watchmaker with an Omega account who would be willing to order the dial and swap it for you.

What size strap should I get? I measured approximately 17mm lug width. Is that correct? Thanks.
