Also whats the opinion on buying from foreign countries? avoid India sellers b/c of mumbai specials? as the Oris folk like to call it. Thanks!

eLady is legit. There are a number of members who have bought nice watches from them. Don't buy from their eBay site, you can buy the same watches on their site for about 10% less. As with anything, do your research.

True, they do have a site (and they mention 5% off first purchases to boot), but you're probably taking a risk by not snapping up the good buys on ebay immediately. Even if you get your order in on their site, there's no telling how long it will take them to remove the ebay listing for the same. If someone buys said watch on ebay before it's removed, they'd probably ship to that guy and cancel your web order... just because it's not as easy to cancel ebay transactions without risking feedback and DSR's.

The ones I purchased were removed almost immediately. Seems like they pay attention to that possibility, even with the time difference.

Very. If you're looking at watches with bracelets, make sure about the length. There are a lot listed as being under 7" and not all bracelets are easy to find links for.

thats good, good call, thanks. Itll help with the search. maybe they list some watches there not on ebay and hopefully I find a gem. some of the coin dealers on ebay do that. lots more on their private site than on the bay. Lose ebay's protection tho.

    They have another 168.024:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/311844807686Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

I think they are charging way too much extra for a bracelet that has been cut down to well under 7".

that one seemed to have a crack in the rehaut area (i think). I agree, more expensive than the one above and in a crummier shape. there was another one that i listed that looked good but seemed to cost way too much at BIN$13xx/obo. Curiously, my budget is $400-$750/800, is that reasonable?

You'll need to be in the upper part of that range, but should be doable with patience.

A properly presented piece will likely get closer to $1,000.

This one was also in consideration but the price really threw me off, http://www.ebay.com/itm/292088050586?rmvSB=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network it looked great the other night when i found it, but the rotor seemed off to me and confirmed by another member. There seemed to be a whole bunch of auctions that ended but not really sold, and the seller is away until the 24th. hopefully they get relisted.

This seller is trolling for buyers willing to overpay.

I've seen some of their watches stay on eBay for over a year. Don't fall for it.

Rotor is correct, but likely replaced.

If its in a better shape, I certainly wont mind adding another $50-100 to my budget, but $13xx seemed excessively greedy. elady had an aqua terra i suddenly became interested in at that price almost.

I take it they dont bother dropping the price when they relist?

    thanks!

Have you checked out the stores of the recommended eBay sellers?

No. They may have a retail store in Japan with the items on display.

I have not tried to send in a offer, but my understanding is that overt negotiations are frowned up in Japanese culture.
