    Certina DS hand wind
    Circa 1970s
    Model 5301 300-M
    Certina 25-661 hand wind movement
    17 jewels
    Solid steel case
    All original parts
    Steel screw down case back
Case measures 38mm wide 43mm lug to lug and has 18mm lugs
    Case shows very well
    Dial shows well
    Crystal has scratches
Movement winds sets and runs and the calendar works correctly

The center wheel pivot which holds the second hand is broken and will need to be replaced.

These hand wind DS models are less common than the automatics and usually sell for hundreds. I'm just looking to get back what I paid.

    $210 CAD ($168 USD) shipped

    ^^^Thanks @DaveK

    Weekend bump.

I've removed the second hand from inside the case so it's not floating around. The cannon pinion must be loose because the hands are not moving when the movement is running.

Make an offer, I'm in a generous mood :D

I picked up another Certina 25-661 movement in a Waterking watch. This movement winds sets and runs.

I'm asking $300 CAD ($240 USD) shipped for both Or Best Offer

The average selling price for these hand wind DS models is significantly more than I'm asking.

    Long weekend bump.

Best price I can do for this one is $280 CAD shipped for Canadian buyers paying with etransfer and $290 CAD ($233 USD) for American buyers paying with PayPal

Everything is there for your watchmaker to switch the parts or swap the entire movement.

I was asked a question about this watch and when I checked it I saw the MD logo was damaged. I must have done it while removing the second hand. The bad news, the logo is damaged. The good news, it can be removed it someone chooses to do so.

$250 CAD ($200 USD) shipped OBO for both watches

Last bump and price reduction: $225 CAD ($180 USD) shipped lower price for Canadians using etransfer

If they don't sell today they'll go into a drawer until I can get the DS serviced.

I sold two other watches so I'm reducing these two further:

    $210 CAD ($168 USD) shipped

I'm losing $100 CAD at this price. My loss is your gain.

I decided to do the work myself and I'm happy to say it went well.

I'm going to keep this DS and I have it on a nifty vintage Tropic strap and I think it looks pretty nice. The dial printing damage is disappointing, but for some reason finger cots stuck to the dial and lifted off ink. Short of finding a new dial or getting this one refinished there's not much I can do.

Thanks to Omega Forums for hosting and thanks to everyone who stopped by to look [IMG]
