There's 1 slot in my watch box for a dressy chrono. Current occupant - Tudor Big Block 79180

    Challenger - Speedy Moonphase 3575.20

Which one would you keep and why?

    edit:
thinking out of the box.. keep both and throw out the Tudor Sub 76100?

That is a tough question. The chronos are different enough that I could easily see both fitting nicely into a collection without competing too much with each other for wrist time. Although, the Tudor Sub is also a classic for a reason...

Am I remembering correctly that you recently picked up a vintage Pepsi? Perhaps there is enough similarities with that style and the Tudor to justify releasing the Sub?

Hell, who am I kidding? The correct answer is without a doubt...get a bigger watch box!!!

Great problem to have and best of luck choosing!

I dont like any of the choices.

On the sub id get a rolex. Tudor has many great subs, why get the one that is a basic replica of the rolex version when you can get something more unique like a black bay or a pelagos?

On the chronos same between the tudor and a daytona, and i dont like the moonphase when you can get something simpler. I. E a non chrono moonphase from a good brand or a zenith el primero chrono if you want to avoid the actual rolex Daytona which is what these seem to emulate.

    Thanks for the input!

Already gone through several different modern Rolex Subs, none of which I liked. And I already have a Black Bay (which I love)

Not looking for a moonphase, but like the overall aesthetic (silver bezel, white dial). The Daytona I like I will never be able to afford. And yessir the El Primero arrives Monday

Thr Big Block. Great design, looks impressive without being too in your face. The Moonphase is a bit over the top with the blue hands and markers; a bit too look at me.

    both Tudor watches.

the Big Block will work fine on a strap as well.

I personally like moonphases and I like blue watches, so there's only one choice for me.

Hard to say without knowing what else is in your collection?

I'm leaning to the Omega as it has a nicer dial and I love blue hands on white. That moonphase is gorgeous!

between the Tudor Big Block and the Omega, I'd probably keep the Tudor (even with the snot lump). the moonphase is a bit too flashy for me and the Big Block is more understated. I'd keep the sub in the watch box for another day.

The Old Man always wore his 3575 on a blue gator strap for dress-up nights :)

I like both Tudors a touch better overall - not a fan of the white / blue combo on the speedy

That tudor sub is quite nice... I would keep that and let other two go... For me the blue inducies on speedy is too much and steel bezel should remain for just 2915...tudor chrono is super nice but i perfer my sub dials at 3,6,9...

It's easy to spend other people's money, but IIRC a SS Daytona runs what? $10K? I remember in 2009 I was offered one at a jeweler that they had just gotten in for $9800. Turns out I could have worn that for 5 years and made money on it. Oh well. I'm guessing from what you said though, you aren't looking for a basic Daytona.

Out of the options you have there, I personally would take the Omega. I prefer the older Tudor no-date subs if you want a Tudor sub, but hey that's a personal thing.

Sell the Speedy moonphase and by a vintage UG TriCompax. Sell the Tudors and upgrade to Fordors.

OK, widening the options, and providing context of what else is in the box - which watch should the Speedy Moonphase displace - or leave the moonphase out?

note: the Aqua Terra is sentimental and will be kept

Of those in there, I would boot the two Tudors you already mentioned, or the Flightmaster and the Big Block.

I enjoy my 3575.20 and get a lot of compliments on it either on metal or leather.

I've always loved the look of the Big Block. Dibs if you decide to send it on its merry way ...

lets face it : the moonphase will never show the correct moonphase if you have a rotation like that ...

    bye-bye ...
