Everyone loves a pretty face, but I’d wager that many of us appreciate a nice backside just as well. So get in that watch pile, dust off those pieces you haven’t looked at in a while and share some of that sweet derrière!
I think it's amusing that they listed as many attributes as they could fit on the case back. Always liked the logo as well
I like this thread. And I love me some casebacks. Here is a sampling of of mine, both civilian and issued. Extra credit (and perhaps even a prize ) if you can identify them all, brand and reference. 1/1 is the top left, and 4/4 is the bottom right.
Maybe 41 Heuer Bund, 22 hamilton military 9992b, 41 Lemania monopusher, 32 Tudor, 14 French type 20? ... but I do not know them all. Impressive lineup! Another military/government issue back:
Some casebacks can be utilized to check for good/bad hair days. Mad Dog: “Dang! That’s nine bad hair days in a row...this watch [and caseback] sucks!” Illinois Bunn Special Sixty Hour in factory Bunn Special “First Model” case by Wadsworth pictured below...
Still digging the modern Speedy Gonzales Moonwatch caseback...it’s somewhat scratched up now after over three years on mostly NATO bands...glad I got a fairly good caseback pic [and saved it] before all the mangling occurred.
