I recently bought a Wakmann Chrono with several dings along the case edges. I don't want to have case refinished but was wondering if the dings can be made less noticeable. Also the numbers on the white tachometer scale are quite frayed and could they be improved on?
Or is it all just lovely patina and to be enjoyed as it is?

Due to the nature of the case with its compound curves I'd be reluctant to mess with it, both that and the bezel still look good and original, which is something you can't recapture once its gone.
