Does any one out there know who is the best guy to build up the dents in this stainless case and refinish? I read about using a lasar welder to build up the missing areas but I can't find the article. Who does that sort of thing in the U.S.? thanks 20160613_071621-1-1.jpg

@photo500 does this, but he is in AUS.

He did wonderful case work on my Ploprof. I am in California and it was so worth it for me to send my watch all the way to AUS.

Interesting. What's the ballpark cost of having this done?

Edvi and Beau at ABC worked on my 105.012 and a refinish was $350, and that did not include any laser welding.

Not sure what the cost would be, but I can say that they will do a first class job. Give them a call and send some pics, they should be able to give you a better idea of costs and turnaround time.

I have seen a Rolex mid-case redone (Job done in HK), to factory specs for $400, same job was quoted at $1300 from the Italian chaps.
Work was unbelievable, I should have taken photos. I first thought it was a new case with copied engravings but no, the real deal.

ABC does amazing case work, as they should for the price charged. Laser welding will add to it depending on now much work is needed. Still, I would use them again depending on the value of the watch needing work.

Edvi and Beau and no longer at ABC, and I believe may be setting up shop elsewhere shortly.

What the heck happened to that case, anyway? I haven't seen damage quite like that before. It looks like a metal mouse chewed on it.

I don't know how it happened, but someone must have done it on purpose. I can't see how that could have happened by accident unless they tried to press on a crystal in a vice and somehow got the lug in a most uncomprimising position. And then repeated the procedure to get the second dent. But I'm sure ABC can fix it. I will send it to them. Thanks for all the input.
