Case ref. 14730 crystal sourcing, PZ5072 multiple versions?

Hello, I'm currently having trouble sourcing a crystal for an Omega Seamaster case ref. 14730 and would really appreciate some help. I previously bought a generic PZ5072 from CousinsUK but found that this was at least 1 mm taller than the original crystal and leaves a significant gap in the case when assembled. I believe I have a Sternkreuz XAC316597 which is at the link here: https://www.cousinsuk.com/sku/detai...s/xac316597?skuId=2006&productCategoryId=2208.

Are there alternate versions of the PZ5072 crystal with different heights? I'm confused that a "standard" part has so much variance. I also have a companion post on watchrepairtalk found here: https://www.watchrepairtalk.com/topic/35522-sourcing-pz5072-for-omega-seamaster/. My guess is that the use of a screwed in movement ring means that the taller crystal can't fit.

Any help would be appreciated! I am open to buying any crystal that fits, generic or authentic, but would like to confirm that the crystal is the correct height before pulling the trigger.

No, a different height would be a different part number.

What is the height of that Cousins crystal?

The cousins crystal is 5.3 mm tall. The one I have is 4.36 mm.

I'm not crazy to think that PZ5072 is the correct part number though right? The catalogue even says it in the image here:

Yes, it's the correct crystal according to Omega.

Any suggestions on what I can do? My thought is that I might be able to purchase a different generic omega crystal (either the PZ5005 or the G22741 from Cousins) which are listed as shorter in height.

I don't think there are many other options as the official source directs me to the incorrect part number.

Omega will often substitute for a crystal that is no longer available., So technically it is correct, just taller. But that won't hurt anything.
