I'm wondering, does an 505 movement supposed to have two identicle case clamps? It looks like one of mine might be different or gone altogether.. But on my parts movement it also only has one case clamp on one side.. So either I'm maybe lucky I have the part or maybe one is under the ring and I can't see it, and it's totally normal.. Or is it omega just used one? Does anyone have any idea? Exspecially if archer could give us the details on what's correct it would be much appreciated.
https://m.cousinsuk.com/ bought mine once here, they will give you a diagram base up on the watch reference or movement
Hi Just a FYI , case clamps are case clamps , not movement clamps. What I am trying to say it depends on what case is in use ..... The case clamp is indexed by case ref number . The case number is also unique to movement caliber . So for a given caliber you have have many different case clamps ... Good hunting Bill Sohne
Oh wow.. Thanks! I'm talking about the tabs that are screed into the side of the movement that poke out to hold it in. Are those movement clamps?
Hi We are talking about the same thing... case clamps, movement clamps, dog clamps .. etc.... The tabs that hold the movement in place in the case... these clamps are unique per case ( and typically each case is unique to a movement caliber ). I hope that is clear enough... best bill
See this one sticking out at top? Well for every 505 I can find, in 2852 cases, there is only one. The other side has a smaller one you can't see under the screw, maybe integral to the spacer? I don't know, hoping someone does know..
Just checked several of my 2852s and there are two clamps on all of them. The clamp on your movement is incorrect, too long. Here is a correct one.
