Is there a way to make this case this look "better"?
Not sure why the previous owner did this but I did purchase this for fairly cheap.

Yes, replace it!

Laser welding would obviously help but it depends how much you want to end on it. Any kind of polishing to reduce the visual impact would end up looking like a dogs dinner IMO

You should really need a license to buy a dremel multi tool if all you’re going to use it for is vandalism like that

I spent so much time to find the same case but had absolutely no luck.
Where do I even begin for finding a place for laser welding?

On the eBay post, the shot of this side of the watch was out of focus.
I thought it was an honest mistake but I was very wrong.

Probably a little bit of deceit on the sellers part with the soft focus on the affected area.

If you can't be bothered then just take it on the chin and mark it down to experience.

Or if you have the time and patience, request a return under "not as described" by claiming significant damage to the case not clearly shown.

If that fails, raise a case with eBay and submit those nice clear pics of the Dremel work.

You can't go saying anything against the finger-challenged these days.

Perhaps he was half-blind, with fat fingers. one should not judge.
