Cape cod on Sedna Gold?

So I know this is somewhat blasphemy for some, but I was thinking I could use a cape cod on this scratch. I typically wouldn’t care — this is expected with gold — but it’s oddly noticeable in the light. But i was wondering if anyone has experience using cape cod on Sedna gold.
Thanks

Light touch, broad strokes till the scratch dissipates. DO NOT BEAR DOWN ON THE SCRATCH as that will end in tears. Might do alright.

Use a small stick like a split popsicle stick and wrap the cape cod. Try to keep it flat and at same angle as the bezel.

Thank you! Yes I was thinking of doing a very light touch. Even if it just fades the scratches out a bit I’d be happy, but don’t want to risk a mess up.

Hey all, for anyone looking for future reference, I can report this works. I went very lightly on it, almost no pressure. If you look close, you can certainly still see it, but it’s way less noticeable. Good for “bad” scratches but obviously not frequent minor wear.

Nicely done. Always light touch- you can go a little more but you can’t put it back. Another trick when you are working on a polished surface next to a brushed surface is blue painters tape to mask off the areas you don’t want to polish. I do this when polishing crystals to protect the bezel. I put a piece of 2” across the whole top of the watch and use my fingernail around the inside of the bezel to score the tape, then remove the tape in the center.
