Hi, I have recently been given this piece as a gift from my dad for my birthday and we have started to do a little bit of research because part of the the clasp is missing. However our research came to an abrupt end rather early as we could barely find out anything out about it. We are not 100% sure on the authenticity as it was originally brought back to England as a gift from family in Oman. We aren't collectors and would really appreciate help from you guys. Thank you,

    Harry

It looks legit, is the bracelet solid gold?

As far as fixing the clasp, finding a part will most likely be impossible, but a jeweler could probably craft something that would make the watch wearable.

Watches with integrated bracelets like these are tough because you cannot simply swap out a strap.

    Best of luck.

Need better pictures, but looks ok to me.
I feel it is De Ville "Classic" from the mid to late 1980's, quite possibly a reference ED 396.0982 which has the quartz movement 1432.

Either carefully remove the back case, or have someone qualified take it off and get us a good photo of the movement, the inside of the caseback and a clear head-on shot of the dial and we can be more specific.

These were usually gold plated and unfortunately, being quartz, are not followed here that much.

Show us both ends of the bracelet from both sides and someone may be able to help.
Otherwise, a good watchmaker will have to try to adapt something.

Welcome to the forum and good luck!

I found one that was similar with the same markings, 1432 and the same integrated bracelet. That one was listed as being a 18k yellow gold bracelet.

    Thank you

The one end of the bracelet is completely broken, will be taking it to a specialist on Wednesday so will try to get some photos!

If you have the part of the clasp that broke off, it can be soldered back on by any good goldsmith.

image.jpeg Hi, got the movement looked at today and it is the same as the photo I found. I also got a quote for the making of the part from Swiss time services for £60. Do you guys think it would be worth it? As I'm not sure of the value of the watch.

    Thank you

Regardless of the value of the watch I think it would be worth it. Otherwise you have nothing but junk, or a cool desk watch.

The watch is beautiful and deserves to be worn. In any event for sure you can sell it for more then 60 pounds .
