To my untrained eye it all appears legit and can't be to old as it has an open back, bezel is 18K and running very well. The asking price is $1000. which to me is on the high side ? Any and all input is greatly appreciated. IMG_9934.JPG IMG_9948.JPG IMG_9940.JPG IMG_9944.JPG IMG_9935.JPG

you will not find a lot of love for UG from the 90's over here.... and gold over steel is also not the preferred choice.
i would not pay that price for a 3 hands, you have must better choices (Polerouter and Jet) in the sales forum for a reasonable price and from very reputable sellers.
But that is my 2 cents, do as you like :)

Thanks for your reply. Why no love for the 90's watches? The bezel is not plated,it is supposedly solid 18K?

@citizenrich has talked about modernish UG being very good bang for buck watches before.

A difficult one as there's not a lot of collector's interest and also not a lot of data on watches of this era. Does the watch come with any papers? I have one of these - obviously it's a quartz but if you want a photo of any detail, let me know.

$1k sounds a little high but possibly factors in the scrap value of the bezel. As has been alluded to already, if you spend the same amount on a Polerouter it will be worth at least the same amount tomorrow and into the future whereas you may struggle to get it back with this one.

1k is high for that watch, it's a good watch but not 1k good.

In fact there's no much love for 90's UG's but i have one and love it:

If it sings to you, pull the trigger. Just realize it's not got any collector value upside.

$500 sounds OK but you may, or may not, get that back if you choose to flip it. If you really like it then buy it.
