i have been given my fathers Omega which he was given as a long service award and which is engraved on the back. I would like to refurbish it but I can only imagine that the engraver was doing a batch and wasn't all that careful with which back he put on which watch. The watch in question purports to be a 135.041 but the ones I have seen do not look the same as the one I have (oh Omega why did you not put the case reference on the case?). The movement is a 601 and the reference number dates to 69/70 and it was presented to my father in 1971. Any this is what I have image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

I guess it should start 135.xxx but no idea.

Have it serviced by a quality independent, the 601 is rock solid, probably one of the cheapest and most problem free movements to have serviced, it'll run great afterwards. Get the crystal replaced with a new OEM one and the back seal replaced as part of the service and a clean, don't have it polished.

Here's some pics of mine that I sold a couple of weeks ago:

Will be doing my own servicing but wanted to be sure I was ordering the right bits. Thanks for confirming.

Ahk didn't know, well yea it does look exactly like the 135.070 in my link so I'd say you're on the money there
