Hi all,My name is Joao, I'm from Portugal and this is my first time writing here at the forum.
Can someone help me identifying the watch that I received from my grandfather? Thanks and regards,

Have to say I don't know models that old, can you have the caseback taken off and post photos of the inside of it and the movement?

I'm afraid but I can't do it now because I send the watch to maintenance at Omega.
As soon as I have it back I’ll do it.

Cool, I'd be keen to see what they make of it. Is there any interesting story behind it?

    Hi Dsio,
The only interesting history about it is that it was given to me as it was trash. My grandparents died 20 years ago, but it was now when my family was emptying their house that this watch and another two were discovered at the bottom of a drawer.
The other two watches are an Omega Seamaster De Ville and a Tissot Antimagnetique.
I think all the watch belonged to my grandfather who was born in 1900.

The Seamaster sounds interesting, do you have any pics of that one?

The Seamaster actually looks like the cooler of the two watches, that's a really nice piece, might be worth seeing if it can take an Omega beads of rice bracelet, they look really good on vintage Omegas from that era

    Hi Joao.

The Seamaster De Ville is from the mid 60's and probably has a caliber 562 inside. The bezel and crystal lift off, the stem is split, and then the dial and movement come out the front. "Seamaster" and "De Ville" were only put together on dials from 1963 through 1967 primarily because it was popular in the US market. Your watch looks completely correct - dial, hands, crown, etc.

The other Omega is a 40's watch with a manual wind 30 series caliber. Can't tell if the dial is original or refinished from those pics, but either way it's a nice watch and an heirloom to boot. I'm not so good with pre-1952 Omegas so maybe somebody else could chime in.

That's interesting about the Seamaster, I was looking at the lines of the caseback and where the lugs joined wondering how exactly that worked.
