Can you hel identify this Speedmaster as real or fake and what year it may be?

    Just came across this and would like a little input. Seems genuine but all the pictures I've seen of older Speedmasters have a pie-pan look to the accessory dials' edges (maybe an optical illusion?). This one has flat edges/bottoms on the dials with a concentric ring textured pattern at the bottom. Does it seem genuine and what year might it be? Thanks for the info!

    Serial number 4827xxxxx dates it to 1992 (http://www.chronomaddox.com/romans.html) Can't help much with its authenticity (don't have the expertise), but I'll be interested to read what those who have say.

    It looks real to me, the dial you are referring to is known as stepped, these were changed in the early 70's I think
