Maybe a dumb question, but I wanted to confirm that we're permitted to post pics from sales listings here for opinions on the watch.

A local seller has a Speedmaster for sale and I wanted to get some input on the watch.

 

Yes you can. A lot of people have already done it, at least, so I assume it's OK

 

I wouldn't post a link if there is one, just pictures.....unless you want to cause a free for all

The seller's asking $5000 CAD (about $3983 USD)

Looks correct - pricing is $5k CDN, so $4k USD.
Speedmaster101 says 3000-3900-5200 for running-good-collector.

This one to me is more in the “running” category. This will almost assuredly will need a $500+ service. The chrono hand has been replaced. Dial looks ok, but not a stunner to me. It’s not a horrible deal but not a steal either to my eyes. Seller says “firm, non-negotiable” price.

I think you can do better on this forum in the sales corner.

And thank you sjg22 Good to get the opinion of someone who has seen the listing.

I thought the price was a bit optimistic based simply on the hands and the crown which is an Omega crown but appears to be a replacement.

Edited to add: The bezel is also pretty knackered but I'm not sure what constitutes a good condition bezel

 

Try finding a better one for that price, the bezel is absolutely fine.

 

Bezels tend to look worse in pictures from my experience. Esp ones in bad lighting.

More attractive (to my eyes) for equal (or likely less) money in Canada, so local to you as well. Been for sale for awhile so you can likely knock a few $$$ off the seller’s asking price.
