    dear respectable members,

i have omega SM 300. however, the bezel on my watch cannot be rotated. as you can see from picture, it is currently not center at 12.00 as well for the triangle mark.

    Thanks,

There's probably so much corrosion it's frozen. Anything is repairable with the right parts.

    The short answer is maybe.

If the retainer spring isn't too badly corroded/rusted it can be cleaned and reused.

It may be possible to get it freed up without removing it. You can try applying some penetrating oil like WD40 where the bezel meets the case.

Ultimately a through cleaning will be best. After removing the movement, a bath in an ultrasonic cleaner should do the trick, do NOT submerse the watch as it sits, the seals are surely shot.

So it's a bezel guillotine. :D I knew it had something to do with the Inquisition.

Primarily a great tool for removing snapback cases - I only use something like this rather than a knife - much more efficient and vastly reduces inadvertent damage to the case.
