    Hello Watch Enthusiasts,

I am a newbie and recently inherited two watches from my uncle. I believe the Omega KL 6303 dates to the early 1960's and has the 560 calibre with quite bit of rust, dirt etc. In addition, the crown is not attached.

The Hamilton I cannot get the back off so not sure about the calibre but I think it might be the Croyden model from 1953.

These watches have sentimental value and I was wondering if it would be feasible and or worthwhile to have restored. Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you. A real watchmaker could save the omega. Cost??? Depends on how much of the movement needs to be replaced.

Hamilton. Not worth the trouble. I never bought Hamiltons, Bulovas etc to restore. Weren't worth the time and money.

Omega. Maybe if a watchmaker could unscrew those screws, but case condition is average as is the movement. Even if offered for under a $100. I wouldn't buy. Not worth the headache

The Omega looks like it's missing the bezel. As Don says, condition is very average, unless it has sentimental value & you're keeping it in the family, it would cost more than it's worth to fix up.

Thank you all for the feedback, it is much appreciated. I thought the Omega was missing the bezel; however I wasn't able to find a picture of this model to compare. There is some sentimental value but I'm not going to overspend either. Just may keep looking for a nice 57 pie pan. Thanks again guys.
