    Hi guys,

I found my childhood watch while cleaning my house. I do want to keep it but is this bezel repairable? If so, how much would it cost?

Here's the pic of the watch and the broken bezel.

    Thanks so much!

The shape of the Swiss flag logo on your watch is different to the shape found on current Swiss Army watches. Your watch may, or may not, be the real thing. Chances of getting a new bezel? Hopefully you still have the owner's manual and/or warranty in order to find an address for a service centre. But otherwise, chances are slim that you will locate a bezel. It would be great if someone had a donor watch they would part with.

Thanks! I'm quite certain this is real swiss army since I still have the box and papers. I'll venture around and hope I can find one...

One solution would be to keep trawling eBay, one day (though who knows when) one will appear for sale and you can buy it just for the bezel

So you just bent it back? I can't seem to enlarge your photos by clicking on them like I can some others here, but it looked like the bezel was cracked at a couple of the thinner areas. With how deformed those spots were, I'm surprised there aren't cracks there...

Does this bezel press on? I assumed it did, so did you have to glue it on now that it was bent out of shape?

    Cheers, Al

Actually there are cracks but they're hard to see due to the reflection. These bezels are more sturdy than it looks. You are right, I glued the bezel. I don't see any other way... it didn't bother me too much as this is something just to keep.

Okay thanks - I'm really surprised it didn't just break into pieces when you straightened it. Glad you got it back on!

Anything is repairable, you just need time, patience, skill, or you can throw cash at the problem.

My father used to say, "any problem can be solved if you have enough cash to throw at it"
