Please help I have exhausted all options I could find and yet still can't identify this Omega Seamaster.
The only info I can give is I was with my father when he bought from it a reputable jewler way way back in the early 80s
Please help it was a heirloom given to me after my fathers passing.

    I'm pretty sure it's a real Omega.

But we would need to see the inside of the caseback, as well as movement pictures to confirm. If you don't think you can open it without damaging the watch don't do it have a watchmaker do it.

That period had a lot of undocumented watches, but if you provide those pictures we can settle it for you.

Even if it is real the value of quartz watches from that time period is not huge. On the other hand that's a seriously cool looking piece.

The information you need for positive identification is on the inside of the caseback.

You should be able to pop it off if it has a small lip at one end near the bracelet lugs.

It's an unusual style and probably from late 1970s or so, could house a caliber 1436 but getting the case data will confirm.

My father was in prestige car sales so I highly doubt it would be a fake it wasnt his style he was a brand man
It was also purchased through a high end jewler in Melboure so I feel sure its authentic I just cant identify the actual model
It currently needs a batter so I will take it to my jeweler they are a Bulova agent they should be able to change out the batt and also note down the identification numbers hidden within .
Thank you it is a way cool watch ultra slim and is still stylish today I wear it more than my Bulova Precisionist

I have no doubt that it's a genuine Omega. It's just such an unusual style, it reminds me of the red and black Spider Dynamics of the mid 1980s, although in a different shaped case.

I have had it suggested its a 1984 Olympic edition also due to the black face and poss black graphite bezel with the red trim bezel and silver case and the unusual red dials , I am def no expert or ameture even so who knows if that info is legit in any way lol
I was in my mid teens when I went with dad while he bought or maybe collected it making it around mid 80s
its thou not pictured a ultra slim watch
As best as I can tell zooming in on the image the tiny print below the date window says I think swiss made

It looks quite similar (but not identical) to this 1983 Seamaster Mariner III in the Omega Database. They seem to have been issued in a range of deeply '80s colour schemes. If that is indeed what this watch is, then it's a direct descendant of those incredible MegaQuartz marine chronometer models that popped up a few days ago. There is a discussion of these watches here and here.

I thought so at first it may be related, but when I compared it with mine the difference was significant.

It seems like a pretty unique edition no wonder I have had so much difficulty finding any images or references to it .
Aside from the sentimental value I really love the look and feel of the watch and wear it daily
