Hi all, it’s the long weekend and I see a Seamaster deep black that I really love and want to purchase.
Sadly, the person that I want to purchase it from is about three hours away. Most places are closed for authentication. He has the full kit other than the metas card. He does have a service receipt. But I just wanna make sure that it’s authentic before I make a 3 Hour drive and waste my Sunday.
With pictures, cereal, and a service receipt is there any way that someone can help me authenticate it?
I’m really hoping someone can help me

Fill up the gas tank, put on some traveling music and take a nice ride.

Everything seems legit so far, but you really need a pic of the see-through caseback from the seller, specifically the escapement.

The PO GMT Deep Black is actually one of the most believable and common fakes out there. You have no idea how many pawn shops and resellers have been fooled by the fakes. I've informed many that tried selling them on eBay or Chrono24 and they all seem to be shocked.

Everything looks legit. Only weird thing is that it's missing the Pictogram/Master Chronometer cards but has the warranty card. Unless the seller just didn't take a picture of those, maybe use that to your advantage if you haven't negotiated on a price yet.

Good luck on the purchase!

Thank you, it looks incredibly similar to the look of the 8500 movement I had before. I picked it up about an hour ago. He was nice enough to meet me half way.
I wonder if there’s anyway I could pay Omega to get that master chronometer /metas access code card. Or even the number from them would be good.
