Can someone identify this watch - converted pocketwatch?

The video link is for George Stevens coverage of the tail end of WW2. I believe that five directors went to Germany and shot their own documentaries. As I recall, netflix made a documentary about it.

The watch looks like a converted pocketwatch of some kind.

It is at 4:17.

I agree, it's a conversion. Too blurry to tell anything else.
