It's an authentic dial and movement.

The case and bracelet are aftermarket, probably made in South America and might not even be solid 18k gold.

What about the differences in the "A"s of "Automatic" and the smudging through out? Does this make you think of a possible redial? How about that 18k hallmark? Not as clean as I'd expect it to be!!! Does the MOY test hold any ground here either?

Thank you for any help - Here to learn,

    Thomas

It's fine. It passes the MOY test. Previous poster has already addressed the 18k issue. Calm down!

The smudging is probably on the crystal.

Of course the hallmark will be different because it's not a factory made case - it probably came from South America.

    Thank you both,

Not a lot of Constellations with 565, are there?

Not my style but nice watch, dial looks very good, hands, etc. As someone else said the bracelet is not Omega.

Is that a good thing? Or does that mean that the dail and movement dont belong together?

Cal. 565 is definitely not right for a Constellation, as it's not chronometer-rated, as @efauser and @Peemacgee refers to... As there are (at least) two items in the movement that aren't right for a chronometer-rated Omega, I'd wager that the entire movement is a 565.

Correct - while both are authentic, they don't belong together.

Great, thanks. That website is great and the MOY piece is pretty thorough.

The vintage constellation market seems to be a bit of a minefield!
