Can I trust this seller on eBay

Hi all,

It's my first time exploring the world of second hand watches, so I really don't know what to look for. I was surprised at some of the low prices you can seemingly find pre-owned Omegas, so much so I talked myself into disbelieving them.

I've seen a couple of old looking De Villes on eBay - links attached - I like the look of them but as I said I've never bought a second hand watch before and don't know if I'm missing tell tale signs that they're not genuine.

Would really appreciate it if someone could verify whether they're genuine and what I should be looking out for.

Thanks

I would trust them. Their rating is good and you are covered by Ebay guarantees. However, the watches in the links you gave have little value in my opinion. Tiny 31mm gold plated quartz watches from the peak of the quartz value are not sought after by many

1980's Omega quartz watches are not highly sought after and therefore prices are not high. These Ebay prices are certainly not too good to be true, especially for the TV dial and gold plated ones.

Thanks for your help, I hadn't really thought about their lasting value to be honest, if I won't be selling them in the future does this matter?

If you value them more than $25USD, you will not have any competition in your quest.

We all say this at the beginning. And we all either sell them, or wish we could

These guys assume you will become a watch collecting degenerate just like them. I say go for it, but you should message the seller about a deal.

They do have some slight value, and I bet nobody will actually let the one pictured go for $25, even if that is its worth. Figure out how much you are willing to spend, and stick to it. More of these will come up for sale.
