This watch belonged to my grandfather, who passed away in 2007. It has been in a safe all that time, and even longer since he stopped using it in 1989. I would like to know how to properly restore it and what strap I can put on it, as the one it has doesn't fit and the missing links are missing. Thank you very much.

Well, in your position, I’d post where you’re based and hope that someone can recommend a good watchmaker who can service the watch, remove the bracelet and fit a nice leather strap.

Don’t take it to the guy in the Mall but google vintage watch repairers.

Second, you might learn how to take clear and focussed photos of your watch. With your photos, it’s impossible to tell if it’s in good original condition or a redial.
