As a newbie everyone has been very helpful - so much so I have now bought 2 watches! I Inherited this watch 10 odd years ago and wear it occasionally. Would anyone have any information on it? The hands are a very deep blue not black - just like the blueing on a firearm. It’s a manual winder and is gold but I have no idea what K. Apart from that all I know is in the pictures. I would like to know something about the watch.
Thanks all, and sorry for the rubbish photos. Not a Longines guy but want to be!
Logo seems off-center and makes me wonder if dial is original.
Really need focused pix to look for hallmarks and to tell more.

1940s design, unfortunately the dial was refinished which means it has much less value as a collectors item. In order to know more you should get it opened by a professional watchmaker, and send photos to Longines to request an extract of archives. It will give you more information.
    Best regards

Thanks will do. When I inherited it, it was wrapped in a box. Dial and glass as found. It needed a service and minor repair but I can’t remember what but was not cleaned as it was in very good condition. Still may have been done in the past. Guess it’s way past a service so will take the opportunity.

Just to clarify, you'll need very crisp pictures of the movement showing legibly the serial number - and you will need pictures of the engravings inside the case back. You'll need to supply the serial number of the movement in order to get an extract of archives.

Love that Longines decorated the movement with cotes de geneve in a place that only the watchmaker would see.

    It's a caliber 23M from around 1947-1948.
